Business Change Project Manager

To support our continued growth, we are recruiting an experienced Project Manager, with a background in delivering projects directly impacting the business. As part of our busy Business Change team, this will include launching new products to customers, updates to improve the customer journey or implementing system and process changes to meet finance and compliance regulations.

Working within an agile, waterfall or hybrid methodology, you will take responsibility for the timely and on budget delivery of initiatives, whilst managing implementation staff in a matrix-managed structure and allocated on an as-needs basis to projects. Accordingly, you will fully engage with the resource prioritisation and allocation process to secure the resources for their project.

 What you’ll be expected to do in the role
  • Ensure delivery to agreed business objectives, requirements, schedules, costs and quality objectives.
  • Establish control and monitor project timescales and budgets, obtaining appropriate approvals and authorisations, considering dependencies and taking appropriate action to overcome delays, difficulties or cost overruns.
  • Ensure business requirements are accurately captured and solution is appropriately developed to support generation of the business case.
  • Provide direction and support to ensure a smooth project initiation enabling project approval and prioritisation.
  • Define project success factors, benefits metrics and realisation approaches to measure and drive real benefit for the business.
What we’re looking for from you

Must have

  • Proven experience of successfully managing client facing projects through the full project life cycle.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge supportively and effectively where appropriate.
  • Ability to work as a hybrid across business and IT.
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to manage projects effectively.
  • Demonstrable experience in producing and delivering quality presentations to both internal and external customers.
  • Strong understanding of project governance and controls including scope & deliverable management.
  • Experience of working with SME’s to produce robust estimates in line with client requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining project schedules in Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent demonstrable soft skills including:  inter-personal, influencing, communication, effective negotiation and emotional intelligence.

Desirable

  • Experience gained within financial services or other heavily regulated environments.
  • Experience in delivering regulatory change.
  • Experience of MS Visio.
