Finance Assistant

Due to internal progression we are looking for an enthusiastic Finance Assistant who has a passion for numbers to join our Finance Team.

The role will offer a variety of accounts responsibilities; You must be very organised with the ability to think through issues and look for solutions.  You will support the Finance Team Leader and other members of the Finance Team in processing transactions and reconciling accounts, setting up internet banking and various other accounts and administrative tasks.

This is a great opportunity for an Accounts/Finance Assistant or trainee looking to join an exciting business where you can really add value from day one. We are looking for someone that is happy to get stuck in and be happy to take on aspects of other roles within the finance department when members of the team are out of the office. This will provide fantastic opportunities for development and stand you in good stead to further your career in finance.

What you'll be expected to do in the role
  • Ensure all bank transactions are accurately and efficiently processed & reconciliation of those bank accounts
  • Reconcile credit cards payments
  • Process agreement early settlements and partial early settlements
  • Manage the Auction payments and carry out the maintenance of any errors/amendments
  • Process account unwinds and manage unresolved agreement unwinds
  • Submit weekly budget updates and requests for funding from parent company daily (budgeting to calculate what funds are required)
What we’re looking for from you


  • Confident communicator both written and verbal
  • Be great with numbers, methodical and have excellent attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Have previous data entry experience
  • Able to work on your own and within a team
