Head of Marketing

We are looking for a Head of Marketing to join our Sales & Marketing team, located in the heart of the South Downs National Park, in Petersfield. This is a brand-new position and you will join us at an exciting time, as we continue the growth of our product offerings. As such, we are seeking a creative, engaging, credible and driven professional.

Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, you will be responsible for the overall marketing area, including digital, social and traditional marketing and PR.  We are in the process of creating a new brand persona for a new product launch where you will be responsible for the development and on-going story line of the persona through media channels.

With a strong understanding of digital marketing, you will work with the existing team, building and delivering on our digital strategy, driving the success of our direct to consumer proposition.

Playing a key role in product design and implementation for the business, you will use your fantastic influencing and negotiating skills to work successfully with other functions and stakeholders, delivering a strong market proposition for both our introducers and our end customers.

Your previous project management experience will enable you to manage the delivery of key projects to hit your key objectives and the strategic goals of the business.

Comfortable leading a digital team, you will also thrive on working collaboratively, getting stuck in to all parts of the process and delivery. No task will be too small for you. Previous experience in a Financial Services environment will be essential to your success.

What you’ll be expected to do in the role
  • Overall responsibility for Marketing across Moneybarn; leading the department, working with and developing the marketing team
  • Be responsible for the website and associated external communication channels
  • Create strong, stretching and achievable strategies to deliver growth for the business
  • Build strong relationships and work with external suppliers for marketing activities
  • Be a key member to cross function committees, representing Marketing and the Sales & Marketing department where required
  • Delivering agreed application numbers through the company web-site and other marketing channels

  • Demonstrable experience as a marketer
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and deliver results from their team
  • Energized and driven to deliver personally and through your team and the company
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with the ability to network and build effective internal and external relationships at all levels
  • Experience of Product/proposition design
  • Ability to interpret strategic business requirements and deliver through functional, process driven initiatives
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise tasks in order to meet tight deadlines within a changing environment
