Head of Strategic Programme Delivery

Located in the heart of the South Downs National Park, Hampshire, Moneybarn is part of the Provident Financial Group, a FTSE 250 Company. Due to our continued growth, we now have an exciting new opportunity for a Head of Strategic Programme Delivery.  You will join us at a pivotal time, as we build our delivery plans to enhance our status as the largest UK lender in the non-prime market.

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will have the drive and commercial acumen to lead a team of over 20 Business Change and I.T professionals in the delivery of a portfolio of strategic change programmes. Your leadership, experience and background will be key to developing the strategic planning skills of your team at Moneybarn as well as building communities to share best practice within the wider Provident Financial Group.

Your mission will be to deliver a multi-year change agenda, aligned to the Moneybarn culture and growth trajectory. Your professional background and fantastic influencing and negotiating skills will allow you to confidently work with a team of executive directors.  You will thrive on getting stuck in and working collaboratively with a values driven team. What you will be expected to do in the role
  • Drive the delivery of a portfolio of strategic change programmes, co-ordinating and planning internal and external teams in the delivery of high-quality products within committed timeframes
  • Work with the Moneybarn executive team to understand investment priorities and benefits and design and deliver to them
  • Drive the improvement of core business processes, delivering programmes to optimise and innovate these processes with market leading technology as part of the business change agenda, whilst meeting the appetite for risk, service performance and cost management
  • Establish metrics and key performance indicators to help drive success project delivery
  • Mentor and manage the Project Delivery & Business Change team, providing strategic and tactical guidance in delivering successful programmes
What we are looking for from you
  • The successful applicant will have significant Portfolio management experience, particularly around delivered complex change management programmes with significant technology and organisational elements. This can be with a consultancy or in-house blue-chip organisation
  • They will have exceptional stakeholder management experience, working with senior executives to understand their priorities and coordinated the programme portfolio to deliver successful outcomes across the different business functions in a customer driven market
  • They will have experience of working collegiately across different teams, leveraging skills and resources to deliver the best possible outcomes
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and delivering large programmes or business transformation, acting as Programme Director or Head of Change
  • Demonstrable experience of Business Transformation, Programme Management including benefits realization and Commercial Off the Shelf Package implementation
  • Experience of Systems Development, Quality Assurance, Business and Systems Analysis and Design would be useful
  • Experience managing teams of 20 + staff
  • Experience in managing investment budgets of £10M +


  • Consultancy experience
  • Experience of working within Financial Services or other heavily regulated environment
  • Advanced Professional qualifications (MBA etc.)
  • Experience of working within a FTSE100 or large blue-chip company
