Internal Communications Manager

Due to rapid growth, we now have a brand new opportunity for an ambitious and experienced communications professional to make a real impact.

Reporting directly to our HR Director, the Internal Communications Manager will deliver key messages to our employee team by telling engaging stories and creating business critical content and communication.

As our talented communications expert, you will lead internal communications across the organisation, identifying new and growing existing channels of communication. As part of your role, you will also be responsible for driving Moneybarn’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy and agenda.

Already demonstrating an excellent level of writing ability and a healthy dose of creativity, combined with solid previous experience in an internal communications role, you will thrive on building and evolving strategy and will have a passion for working across a business to help embed culture and values.

You’ll be brilliant at helping us to;
  • Ensure senior managers give consideration and focus to the communication of business changes and that communications are delivered to the right audience at the right time
  • Ensure key organisational initiatives, policies and changes are successfully communicated to all stakeholders including employees
  • Support in drafting messages and/or scripts for Executive team members for presentation to employees in written or spoken form
  • Handle the internal communication response to crisis situations which affect organisational perception and reputation
Essential skills we’re looking for;
  • Excellent creativity in written communication skills
  • Ability to assimilate information from multiple sources and provide clarity of messaging
  • Understanding of the importance of internal protocols (i.e. embargo) and classification requirements of written internal communications
  • Confident in bringing a fresh perspective to the table and to offer constructive challenge to senior managers to ensure communications are delivered in the right way
  • Digital communications skills
  • Confidence in public speaking
  • Able to influence
Nice to have’s;
  • Passionate about the CSR agenda
  • Confidence to bring new ideas to the table and demonstrate well thought out plans to execute them if appropriate
  • Good understanding of employee engagement drivers and communications arising from employee surveys
  • Good understanding of Technology change and impacts on people and culture
  • Degree in Marketing, Journalism or Media preferred
