Recruitment Advisor

We are Moneybarn, the leaders in specialist car finance, and we’re growing. We are looking for the right person to join our small, friendly and focused recruitment team in the role of Recruitment Advisor.

As Recruitment Advisor, you will be at the front of our candidate experience and the key contact point for all stakeholders involved in the recruitment process.

This role will suit someone who has already had exposure to the hiring process and is looking for a career in in-house recruitment. You might be a hiring manager or a recruitment professional, or an existing HR generalist looking for a move to a specialist recruitment role.

If you enjoy working in a friendly, fast paced and vibrant team environment, with plenty of autonomy, this could be the role for you.

What you’ll be expected to do in the role
  • Manage the end to end recruitment process for new vacancies from authorisation to selection
  • Work closely with hiring managers to ensure a clear understanding of the requirements and expectations of new vacancies, supporting them to create accurate job descriptions and person specifications
  • Source and engage with candidates via a variety of outlets, such as job boards and social media, building relationships with prospective talent
  • Act as the first point of contact for candidates, recruitment agency partners and hiring managers, keeping them updated as required
  • Draft job adverts and post them on a variety of outlets including the Moneybarn intranet, Moneybarn careers website and recruitment job boards
  • Update and maintain recruitment systems, including Cascade and the Recruitment Tracker
  • Liaise with the HR, L&D and IT teams regarding onboarding of new hires
  • Maintain accurate records of vacancies, applicants, interviews and new starters ensuring audit compliance
  • Produce regular reports on recruitment statistics
What we’re looking for from you


You will be brilliant at providing a first-class candidate and hiring manager experience.

By delivering as promised, you will quickly gain the trust of our managers, supporting them through the hiring process and keeping on top of all arrangements, you will update everyone, internal and external, as required.

With the ability to keep yourself on track, you are organised, efficient and have a natural talent for juggling changing priorities in a fast-moving environment. You will do this whilst also having an eye for detail, maintaining confidential and up to date recruitment records and keeping things moving in line with agreed process.

Already skilled at sourcing top talent, you will act as a brand ambassador, using social media and your networking ability to build a proactive pipeline of candidates.

Working both independently and collaboratively, you will be a natural at developing working relationships and managing expectations.


  • Experience working within an FCA regulated environment
  • CIPD or REC qualified
