Senior MI Analyst

We are now recruiting a highly analytical and numerical Senior MI Analyst to join our finance team, reporting to the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, this role requires an extremely efficient and accurate individual when it comes to data analysis.

Your role will be to lead our fantastic MI team, overseeing the day to day functions of the department. You will be responsible for the prioritization of all work coming in and the allocation of work time within the team, along with managing your own work load.

What you’ll be expected to do in the role
  • Take responsibility of all reporting requests to satisfy both internal and external stakeholders
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to determine reporting requirements
  • Design and implement reports that will support stakeholder specifications
  • Design and build MI reports and dashboards as requested.
  • Identify any shortfalls in data quality and completeness
  • Ensure reports are completed within the specified requirements and the agreed SLAs and ensure the requestor understands any limitations
What we’re looking for from you
  • Proven experience of SQL (MS SQL Server 2008 onwards) with the ability to write robust data processes combining data from multiple sources
  • Experience in using MS SSRS
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to develop robust, functional reporting suites and macros
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills with the ability to communicate effectively to non-technical people
  • Can translate data into actionable insights that will influence key decision makers
  • Ability to manage expectations with key stakeholders
  • Good understanding of MI best practice with ability to explain how to ensure correctness in data stores and reporting
  • Good time management and prioritisation skills
