At Moneybarn our main focus is to put our customers on a better road ahead. So we know it can be tricky to find a car that is right for you. If you are starting to research a new vehicle then we have lots of tips on finding the right vehicle for you.

If you’re still a little lost, then take a look at the list below. We’ve got the top 10 cars we’ve finance for customers this year all in one place.

1. Ford Focus

Over 1381 of our customers last year chose the nations favourite car, the Ford Focus. This was our customers favourite last year as well, although this year there were over 200 more of them that opted for this vehicle. And it’s easy to see why:

  • It’s cheaper to run than other cars of it’s size
  • It’s comfortable to drive for passengers and drivers alike
  • It’s agile and holds the road well.

2. Vauxhall Astra

Just over 1377 of our customers opted for this car this year, with just over 1,000 going for this in 2020. It’s the second year running that the Vauxhall Astra as ranked #2 with our customers and here’s a few reasons why we think this might be: 

  • It’s a great family hatchback
  • Plenty of room for passengers in the back
  • Great visibility, with reversing sensors on most models.

3. Ford Fiesta

The Ford Fiesta has ranked #3 for 2 years running with our customers. With over 1060 of them opting for this car this year and nearly 800 in 2020 it’s most definitely a firm favourite within the UK.

These features are why we think this is the case:

  • Fun to drive
  • Lots of different engine sizes to choose from to suit many different needs
  • Great infotainment system.

4. Vauxhall Insignia

This is where our list starts to differ from last years car favourites. With over 967 of our customers choosing this car over others this year. The Vauxhall Insignia is a great family car, that offers a sporty exterior. It comes in 3 versions, either a 5-door family car, 4-door saloon or a 5-door estate. It’s also received a 5 star rating from Euro NCAP for all of it’s safety features which come as standard throughout the range.

Here’s some of its features:

  • Most models come with lots of extra’s, including keyless start, cruise control and Apple CarPlay
  • Very reliable
  • Lots of safety features as standard such as lane keep assist.

5. BMW 1 Series

Dropping 1 place from last years 4th place, the BMW 1 series is still a firm favourite with our customers, with over 930 of them choosing this as their new car in 2021.

BMW’s are known for their German engineering and with that their sense of luxury, with nice interiors, sleek exteriors and quality engines. With the BMW 1 Series being the most affordable model in their range, it’s easy to see why it’s a popular car.

Here’s some of the reasons why we think our customers like it:

6. Nissan Juke

Over 922 of our customers chose the Nissan Juke as their new car in 2021. It’s a great family mini-SUV, with a bold design full of safety features in all models to keep you and your loved ones safe!

It also has the added benefits of:

  • Entry level models come with lots of extras, including cruise control, alloy wheels and a great infotainment system
  • Strong safety rating
  • Lovely interior.

7. Nissan Qashqai

It ranked #7 in our 2020 top 10 list, and it still remains a favourite with our customers. Over 897 of them decided this was the car for them this year, perhaps due to its popularity with families. It’s an SUV that sits somewhere between a 4×4 and a hatchback, with plenty of storage solutions too!

It has lots of space, which is perfect for a all the family, and gives parents peace of mind whilst driving with lots of safety features too.

8. Vauxhall Corsa

The Vauxhall Corsa has been a favourite with the British public since it was first manufactured in 1992. This year over 871 of our customers picked this car over many others. Why? Because it’s a great affordable compact car, that is enjoyable to drive and is great for motorway and city driving.

9. Vauxhall Mokka

This is a new addition to our top 10 list. The Vauxhall Mokka was chosen by over 772 of our customers this year, and it’s easy to understand why. It’s an affordable car, with great interiors and a ‘Lifetime Warranty’.

10. BMW 3 Series

Last but not least, the car coming in at #10 this year is the BMW 3 series, with over 694 picking this as their car of choice. BMW’s are known for their style, and this model is no different. It offers a luxurious interior, and has power balanced with good fuel economy.

  • 480 litre boot – so plenty of space
  • Sleek design inside and out.
