Customer Stories – Delroy

I live in Birmingham and work as a lecturer at a college, but in my spare time I like to cook, as well as watch my favourite film The Terminator.

My drive to work is about 50 minutes there and back, and that’s on a good day! To get to work I have to take 2 separate motorways, so for me it was really important to get a new car that could withstand a lot of miles. I needed a good runner that I could rely on. If I wasn’t able to get a new car I might have had to get public transport which would mean 1 bus and 2 trains taking just under 2 hours one way. I can imagine that would cost a fortune as well.

Moneybarn has helped me to continue to get to work easily and safely and have been kind and caring creditors over the years. It’s been a great experience being a Moneybarn customer.

When I knew I wanted a new car, I started by doing some research which showed me Moneybarn. They were willing to give me the amount I wanted as well as offering me the best deal. When I chose Moneybarn I had no specific feelings towards them as a company, to be honest I don’t think I’d ever heard of them before, but ever since opening my agreement with them nearly 4 years ago, I’ve had nothing but great service from them.

Over the years, and definitely since having my car on finance I have noticed that my credit score has gone up. I’d like to think this is because I always make sure my car finance is paid monthly and I never miss a payment. It’s really positive to see and makes me hopeful that I’ll be able to get a better rate if I need vehicle finance in the future!

In May 2020 after a couple of months of the UK lockdown I was furloughed. My spending then became limited to food and heating during this time, and it was a period of life I just could never have previously imaged. Without Moneybarn offering me a payment holiday both easily and quickly, it could have had a major effect on my lifestyle and also my credit history, as I just wouldn’t have been able to afford the monthly repayments. As we all know that time was full of unplanned uncertainty and the payment holiday I received was a true relief, and I can’t thank them enough.

From the service I’ve had from opening my account in 2017, to my payment holiday more recently the process has been easy, and everyone has been incredibly helpful and friendly. I can easily say that I would happily get another agreement with Moneybarn in the future and would definitely recommend Moneybarn to any of my friends or family.
