Will A Payment Holiday Affect My Credit Score?

Sam Wooller, Customer Experience Communications Manager

When we agreed payment holidays, we didn’t report any changes to your credit file whilst payments were frozen. This means you shouldn’t see a long-term negative impact on your credit score if payments returned to normal after your payment holiday.

Your credit score could still have changed over your payment holiday period, as there are a wide range of factors that we do not control that could impact your score. We may need to send you a Notice of Sums in Arrears even if you have agreed a Payment Holiday with us.  Please watch this explanation video for further information on the Notice of Sums in Arrears.
