We’re sure you’ll have lots of great questions to ask us if you get an interview, but here are a couple of the ones that regularly come through to us before that stage.

What is the recruitment process?

It starts with your application, where we’ll be looking for evidence that you’re a great fit for the role and our company. If we think you are, we’ll invite you to our office in Petersfield for an interview, at which point you’ll also meet your line manager and receive a tour of the site.

What happens next very much depends on the role you’re applying for, with different levels of assessments needed for each one. Don’t worry, we’ll tell you more if your initial application is successful. Good luck.

Do you carry out pre-employment checks?

During the interview we’ll take a copy of your passport to verify your identity and eligibility to work in the UK. If you’re successful, we’ll also run some basic background checks specific to your role, such as a criminal record check, credit check and references.

What should I do if I require some help with my application?

We’ll do everything we can to help you with your application. If you aren’t sure about something, please email careers@moneybarn.com and we’ll go through the options available.

Is there somewhere for me to park on my interview day?

If you’re travelling by car, let us know before hand and we’ll reserve you a visitor’s parking space. It’s one less thing for you to think about.

It’s worth mentioning some sat navs do send people the wrong way, so maybe have a copy of the map to hand, just in case your sat nav lets you down. Petersfield train station is only a 10-minute walk if you’re not sure about driving.

Will I receive feedback?

We understand the time and energy it takes to apply for a new job role. We would love to give in-depth feedback to everyone that takes the time to apply to us, but with a small recruitment team and a large number of applications, this is a challenge.

At the very least, we will always let you know whether your application has been successful or not. The further you progress through the process with us, the more feedback we’ll be able to give you.


Where are you located?

Our office is only a 10-minute walk from Petersfield train station – a mainline station on the London to Portsmouth line. It’s also right next to the A3, which makes it about a 25-minute drive from Portsmouth, Fareham, Winchester, Chichester, Haslemere and Guildford – assuming the traffic is behaving itself.
