Why buy a cruiser motorbike?

Of all the types of motorbike, cruisers offer the peak of comfort and rideability. Cruisers are often lower to the ground than other models, with a seating position that favours a relaxed, leaned-back style. They are not traditionally known for their handling or speed, for which other models are preferable, but are instead the ideal model for travelling long distances in comfort.

Most cruisers are over 500cc and required an A motorcycle licence. You can apply for this kind of licence if you have held an A2 licence for 2 years, or you can apply via Direct Access if you are over 24 years old (this requires a CBT, theory test, and practical test).

How does our motorbike finance work?

Motorbike finance is when you borrow money to buy a new or used cruiser bike. The finance company pays the dealership for you, and you then repay the finance amount over a set time period, by making monthly payments. This is between 36 and 60 months, depending on your agreement.

To get started with our motorbike finance, you’ll need:

  • Monthly earnings over £1,000 (after tax)
  • A deposit of £0 or £400 (subject to affordability)
  • To be aged between 20 and 75
  • A valid A1, A2, or A UK motorbike licence or a valid CBT certificate
  • 2 consecutive months of payslips

We can finance motorbikes that meet our lending criteria:

  • Priced between £3,600 – £15,000
  • Have a minimum engine size of 125cc
  • Have a total mileage of up to 30,000 at the start of the agreement
  • The motorbike must not be older than 25 years old at the end of the agreement

Can I get a cruiser on finance with bad credit?

You might be looking for motorbike finance with bad credit for several reasons. You could have missed a payment in the past, or were in a CCJ or IVA. It doesn’t make it impossible to get approved, it just means you might need to use a specialist lender.
