Information about your agreement

A PCH agreement is a great way of having a brand new car. As you are leasing the car for the period of your agreement, it allows you to have access to more affordable brand new vehicles.

Here’s what you need to know about your PCH agreement with us: 
  • All our PCH agreements are for 3 years
  • As the registered owner and keeper of the vehicle, Moneybarn will purchase the vehicle tax annually
  • Your vehicle will be under manufacturers warranty for the duration of your lease
  • You will receive free breakdown cover from the manufacturer – please check the documents provided to you when the vehicle was delivered to confirm the duration of the cover 
  • Whilst you are in your lease agreement with us, you will be responsible for looking after your vehicle. This includes:
    • Insuring your vehicle with comprehensive cover
    • Maintaining your vehicle – you should regularly service and maintain your vehicle in line with the manufacturer’s guidance
  • If you encounter any mechanical issues please contact the manufacturer directly in the first instance. The contact details will have been provided to you when the vehicle was delivered. If the manufacturer confirms the issue is not covered under the warranty, please contact us on 0330 555 9401
  • During the lifetime of your PCH agreement, Moneybarn will be the legal owners of the vehicle, and there will be no option to buy at the end of your 3 year term.

If you’re experiencing financial difficulties or are worried that you can no longer afford your agreement, then please get in touch. Whether you’re having problems making a payment, are concerned you may experience financial difficulty in the near future, or you’ve already missed a payment, we will always want to speak to you so we can understand your situation and discuss what options are available.

Yes, you must insure the vehicle under your name on a fully comprehensive insurance policy. This must include:

  • Loss in transit
  • Seizure
  • Cost of repatriation should the vehicle be taken outside the UK. 

The excess element of the policy must not exceed £500.00

New cars are not required to have an MOT until they are 3 years old. Depending on the registration date of your vehicle, a MOT may be due before the end of your lease. If this is the case, we will send you a reminder before the MOT is due.

No, as Moneybarn are the registered owner of the vehicle, we will re-new the vehicle road tax annually on your behalf.

If you exceed the mileage agreed at the start of your agreement, you will be charged at the rate quoted within the agreement.

If you are wanting to take the vehicle outside of the UK, you must notify us prior to travelling by calling Customer Services on 0330 5551230. We will need to provide you with written authorisation to allow you to do so.
