Customer Stories – Darren

I live on the South Coast with my partner and 2 twin boys who are 7 years old. During the week I work as a pest controller, I enjoy my job, but my real passion is being able to take my classic Lambretta scooter out for a ride. Since having kids I’ve been able to do this less but I try to get out when I can which I’m sure most parents can understand! We also have an English Bulldog named Frank, a cat called Penguin and a tortoise called Percy, so it’s safe to say we live in a busy house.

A couple of years ago I found myself out of work for a few months, and during this time I received a CCJ. Because of this my credit score was affected massively and I just thought I wouldn’t be able to get a car on finance as nobody would accept me.

They’ve always been upfront and honest with me but have never come across overly serious, which puts me at ease.

I started to need a new car as my kids were getting older and I only had a 3-door car at the time, so it just became impractical. I found Moneybarn through an internet search, and saw a lot of positive reviews.They seemed trustworthy from the get-go, but most importantly they accepted me with the credit score I had! When I started my application with them, they were not pushy, which was another thing I really appreciated.

Since financing my car through Moneybarn it’s now a lot easier to take my children to all the different places they need/want to go, it’s bigger and a lot more suitable for my needs. From that perspective it’s made my life a hell of a lot easier, which I’m very grateful for!

I’ve seen my credit score increasing since I started my agreement with Moneybarn, which is another reason I’m extremely happy with them. I would recommend to any friend or family member who was in a similar situation, not only have they been able to help me get a more practical car, but I can always reach them when I want to and there was great communication throughout the application process.

I never thought that I would be accepted for finance with my bad credit rating. Initially I was surprised that I was accepted and was a little sceptical of the whole process as I was so shocked. But it could not have been easier, and I can’t recommend Moneybarn highly enough. They’ve always been upfront and honest with me but have never come across overly serious, which puts me at ease.
