Is there a cooling off period for car finance?

You can change your mind and withdraw from the agreement without giving any reason. If you would like to withdraw, you will need to let us know before the withdrawal period ends. The withdrawal period starts on the day after we tell you the agreement is made and ends 14 calendar days later. If you do decide to withdraw from the agreement, this will end the agreement, however, it does not give you a right to withdraw from buying the vehicle.

If you do decide to withdraw from your car finance agreement you must repay the amount you borrowed from us, including any accrued interest within 30 days of submitting your Withdrawal Request. Interest will accrue each day from the date the credit was provided to you until the day you repay the credit. The exact daily amount will be stated in your contract.

The amount of credit and accrued interest must be paid to us by bank transfer. These details will be provided to you following your Withdrawal Request. If you’d prefer, you can send us a cheque to the address listed above.

Ownership of the vehicle will be transferred to you once you have repaid the credit and any accrued interest.
